Safe winter sports
Our goal is safe snow and winter fun in our ski area !
On our ski slopes we move in the fresh air and there is a natural minimum distance when skiing.
In lifts, in queues, in ski huts, ski rentals and in ski schools, people generally get closer to each other. To ensure safety here as well, we are working with a comprehensive hygiene concept again this season, which we are constantly updating and adapting to the applicable rules.
The 2G rule (vaccinated or recovered) applies throughout the ski areas!
Please always carry your proof of vaccination with you and have it ready for checks. Children up to the age of 15 are exempt from this rule. During the Christmas holidays, however, children aged 6 and over must present a certified rapid test, which must not be older than 24 hours. More information about the test sites can be found here: https://www.winterberg.de/service-kontakt/corona-infoportal/testzentrum-winterberg/
Where must masks be worn ?
Mouth and nose protection in the form of an FFP2 mask or a medical mask must be worn at all times when renting skis, in the entire ticket office and cable car area, as well as in all means of transport (chair lifts, ski lifts, etc.). There are NO exceptions to this (certificates cannot be accepted. We ask for your understanding).
In addition, the wearing of such a mask is compulsory wherever the minimum distance of 2m cannot be maintained.
Transport in the lifts:
In order to organise the distance rules for the transport of people in the ski area as safely as possible, the following rules are agreed:
Cable cars count as public transport, therefore the wearing of medical masks or FFP2 masks is obligatory for both winter sports enthusiasts and cable car employees.
The obligation to wear masks applies at ticket offices, in the queuing area and during the lift ride.
The 2-metre safety distance must be observed everywhere.
Buy tickets online if possible
To keep queuing times at the box office to a minimum, we recommend booking your ticket in advance via our online shop.
If you do not yet have a data carrier, please register in good time and have a KeyCard sent to you. These are valid for 5 years.
Please note: Only one active authorisation is permitted on each KeyCard.
Alternatively, you can select the pick-up function when purchasing. You will receive a voucher by e-mail, which you can exchange for a ski ticket at the lift ticket office.
The 2Gplus rule applies in the catering industry from Thursday 13 January. Persons who have not yet received a "booster vaccination" or who have been vaccinated twice and have recovered from a Corona infection must present an additional rapid test. Please have your proofs ready here as well.
Many operators have purchased additional disinfectant dispensers and special air purification equipment. Wearing a medical mask or FFP2 mask is compulsory.
The ski rental stations at the open ski slopes are open. We recommend booking via the booking platforms that are usually available in order to avoid waiting and queuing times.
In addition to the disinfectant dispensers, special air purification devices are available at the rental stations. Wearing a medical mask or an FFP2 mask is mandatory.
